Strawberry Smoothie Delight

I don’t know about you, but it finally feels like Spring and the warm weather is here. And what better way to celebrate that, then with a cold fruity drink.

I’m a big fan of fruit drinks; however I’m not a fan of milk and yoghurt, so normally most fruit smoothies out of the question for me. This recipe however has only 3 real main ingredients (4 if you count the ice cubes) and is simple and quick to make. You could substitute the strawberries in this recipe to whatever is in season and is cheap (peaches, mango..the list goes on). Enjoy!

Strawberry Smoothie Delight
Makes: 2 cups
Ingredients:
1 punnet of strawberries (save 2 for garnish)
1 cup of fresh orange juice
¼ of an orange
6 ice cubes

Directions:
Roughly chop 1 punnet of strawberries into medium pieces (remember to leave two strawberries for the garnish). Peel and slice the ¼ of an orange. Place strawberries, orange, orange juice and ice cubes into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into 2 glasses and garnish with a strawberry.
